Tampa, Florida -- Bring on the glitz and glamour-- and roll out the green carpet! The countdown to the International Indian Film Academy awards is just days away.
The fans are already lined up, ready for the first star to make their way down the green carpet.
The first one: IIFA awards host Shahid Kapoor.
"I like it. It's very warm and welcoming and excited for the events," says Kapoor.
This is the first time the show has ever been in the United States and IIFA's President Sabbas Joseph says Tampa was an easy choice.
"This place is as hospitable as ever and it has infrastructure," says Joseph.
Sabbas Joseph says this event, which brings in over 800 million viewers, is huge for Tampa Bay even when the show comes to a close.
"You have an exciting opportunity for education, business and cinema. It's all exciting!" says Joseph.
But he says the most exciting part, may come Saturday night.
"You'll have the pirate ship coming down!"
"That's all you're going to give us?" we ask.
"You'll have to be there for the rest," says Joseph.
The big event is all going to go down at Raymond James Stadium, but to get inside you'll need a ticket. But don't worry, if you come to Curtis Hixon Park on Wednesday at 7, you can take part in the festivities for free.
