Surprise! Michael Cera released an album last night

Michael Cera went and pulled a Beyoncé (sort of, kind of, a little), dropping a surprise album last night.

The 18 tracks of lo-fi indie/folk, titled true that, are on the actor's Bandcamp page. His hushed, light vocals punctuate a heavily instrumental album.

Cera's no stranger to the music scene, touring in 2010 as the bassist in Mister Heavenly (a supergroup comprised of members from Modest Mouse, Islands and Man Man). He's also played bassists in some of his films, including Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

Even though it sounds like an alternate soundtrack for Juno or any other romantic indie film that's come out in the past six years, the songs are actually pretty good (if you're into that kind of stuff).

Cera's Superbad co-star Jonah Hill tweeted out the link last night.
