Tampa tailgate fest tempts food fans

Tampa, Florida -- More than 20 restaurants and bars from the Bay area will show how to party before a football game Saturday at the first Tampa Bay's Tailgate Taste Fest at Curtis Hixon Park.

There also will be family-friendly activities and entertainment throughout the day.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Entry is free, but general food tasting tickets start at $20 ($25 day of event), which includes five food samples. Additional sample wristbands can be purchased online or onsite for $15. You can pig out for $100. This is a cash only event.

Restaurants in the VIP area are: Bern's Steak House, Copper Fish, Firestick Grill and Mise En Place.
