The Lonely Island is making a movie with Judd Apatow

(USA TODAY) Get your towels ready. It's about to go down.

Comedic rap group The Lonely Island is set to star in and produce a new movie from Universal Pictures, which will also be produced by comedy overlord Judd Apatow, according to Variety.

The Lonely Island, which is made up of comedians Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, is best known for its silly music videos on Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2011, when Samberg, now star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, was a cast member and Schaffer and Taccone were writers. Some of the most popular videos include YOLO (featuring Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar), Jack Sparrow (with Michael Bolton), Motherlover (with Justin Timberlake), and I'm on a Boat (featuring T-Pain, a Billboard Hot 100 hit that peaked at No. 56).

Could this be the Shy Ronnie and Clyde movie we never knew we wanted until now? Better get RiRi on the phone, guys.
