Sarasota, Florida - The building has been around for over a hundred years, but for the past 15 months this former gas station has been pumping out mouth watering Carolina style barbecue.

Nancy Krohngold fell in love with this smoky flavor a long time ago. She started making smoked pork for her friends, then came a catering service and now Nancy has her own place in Sarasota.

The locals have already discovered Nancy's, from the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken and chilled smoked salmon round out the main offerings.

How did Nancy get to this point? Here is what she had to say:

"I first smoked North Carolina-style barbecue pork on my Weber Ranch Kettle in my backyard. It was a day-long, hot, sooty, high-maintenance endeavor that had my eyes stinging from smoke and sweat; not a culinary pursuit for the faint of heart. Why would I bother doing it again? Because the results were transcendent; I was hooked. If you enjoy barbecue, one taste of North Carolina-style barbecue pulled pork may seduce you as it did me."
