Hannah Yun just finished 4th in her latest golf tournment with the Lady Gators. Not bad for a 15 year old college freshman. Gainesville, FL- Hannah Yun was seven or eight when she remembers taking a liking to golf. "It grew on me," she says. And golf kept growing right past high school. At fifteen, she's a freshman at Florida, the youngest player on any NCAA golf roster. Hannah Yun, UF Freshman Golfer: "Most of the time I'm not thinking about my age, I'm just busy going to school or practicing or playing golf. But when I stop to think about it, I think, wow, I'm only fifteen."She can't legally operate a motor vehicle. But here, she can drive just fine. Jill Briles-Hinton, Florida Golf Coach: "The question should be, what aren't her strengths? That should be the question."She's refreshingly mature, says her coach. No worries about fitting in. Hannah can definately hold her own. Jill Briles-Hinton: "She understands where she is. She can play the role she needs to play, and that's perfect." There are rules to being fifteen and a freshman. That's why the Yun family made the move to Gainesville along with Hannah. And yes, she still lives at home. So even on the course, family support is never far away. Finishing high school at Bradenton Prep in just two years, athletically or academically, Hannan's always pushed ahead, says Hannah's Dad, Changsu Yun. To her, being 15, and in college, is really no big deal. Changsu Yun, Hannah's Dad: "She says now that she knows this environment, she says she wished she could have come up here when she was fourteen." She does have to wait for some things: the LPGA, a degree, and oh yeah, that driver's license... Hannah: "It'll take some of the teasing away. Just a little bit."Angela Jacobs Tampa Bays 10 Sports
