There is another problem with the Department of Economic Opportunity's expensive computer system that is affecting people getting their unemployment benefits.
The latest glitch has the department sending out a letter to businesses explaining that it mistakenly released "social security numbers" of people registered in the unemployment system along with other private information to them.
The letter continues that because the information is confidential, they should destroy any copies they may have printed our downloaded.
The department says failure to do so may be a violation of Florida statutes.
In all, 45 people's personal information were compromised. The department contacted everyone who was affected.
If you have applied for unemployment and have not been contacted by the Department of Economic Opportunity, your security was not breached.
