PAWFECT! Florida zoo welcomes two critically endangered Sumatran tiger cubs

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens announces birth of 2 critically endangered Sumatran tiger cubs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- RAWR! Well, that's one way to announce the birth of two new tiger cubs.

In Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens' case, they were 'overjoyed' to announce the arrival of two critically endangered Sumatran tiger cubs.

Both cubs were born November 20 to Dorcas, the mother tiger, and their father, Berani. Dorcas appears to be nursing well and the cubs appear to be purr-fectly healthy.

The cubs will need to go through a series of health exams and vaccines before they are placed in their exhibit.

There are less than 400 Sumatran tigers currently in the wild according to the zoo.
