
Clearwater, Florida- Athletes from all over the world will hit the starting line in Clearwater to compete in Saturday's Ironman World Championship 70.3.
The race starts with a 1.2 mile swim in Clearwater Bay just south of the Memorial Causeway. Next is the tough part, a 56 mile bike ride starting on the Causeway, heading up Drew Street, and finally wrapping back around McMullen Booth Rd. and back to the starting point. The race then finishes with a 13.1 mile run starting on Memorial Causeway heading south toward Druid Rd. and ending up at the starting point.
The race is set to begin at 7 a.m. Expect for plenty of detours along the route.
