ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Tantalizing taste buds for the 21st year is the 2009 Ribfest at Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg.  This year's Ribfest features barbequing vendors, not just around the country, but from around the world.  The vendor traveling the farthest? A grilling king from the land Down Under, Australia.

Event organizer Chris Burke says Ribfest offers more than some of the best ribs, brisket, and sausages.  It offers something for everyone.

"This year, we have added different musical genres.  In years past, our acts inlcuded classic rock bands only.  This year we've added country acts like Zac Brown, Big Kenny from Big and Rich.  We also have a family kid zone with inflatables, a hot rod car show, and a motorcycle judging contest, BMX Hell on Wheels demonstrations and much more."

Something most folks probably don't realize is that Ribfest benefits local children's charities.  This year, Saving The Children is the main beneficiary.
Ribfest runs November 13th, 14th, and 15th.  Gates open up at 11:00 a.m. daily.  Admission is $15 for adults. Kids 12 and under get in free.
