Make a Difference Day is the largest one-day volunteering event in the country, sponsored by the Gannett Foundation and USA Today Weekend.
The Sunshine Girls' lemonade and cookie stand raises money for the Suncoast Animal League, a no-kill shelter which takes in abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animal.
The sale will be held from 1 - 5 p.m. along Kreamer Bayou at 497 Riverside Drive in Tarpon Springs. This year, the girls have added half a dozen more friends who are supporting their cause and hope to raise $1,500 for the Suncoast Animal League.
