SARASOTA, Fla. - A Sarasota man was arrested Thursday after his wife discovered a thumb drive with thousands of photos and video of children engaged in sexual acts.
Charles Gilbert Parsons, 48, was taken into custody after his wife turned in the thumb drive to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies discovered 2,076 images and 40 videos showing child pornography on the thumb drive, according to an arrest report.
Parsons’ wife found the thumb drive after she became suspicious after Parsons was acting "in a suspicious manner" and hid his cell phone, according to an arrest report.
According to the arrest report, when Parsons' wife opened the thumb drive, she discovered images of naked girls as young as 6 years old performing sexual acts.
Parsons was interviewed and transported to the Sarasota County jail without bond.
Deputies say additional charges are pending.
