USF to play Texas Tech in Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 23

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of South Florida Bulls will play the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Birmingham Bowl.

Kickoff is set for noon ET on Saturday, Dec. 23 at Legion Field.

Tickets to the 12th annual Birmingham Bowl start at $30.

USF (9-2, 6-2 AAC) will make a second consecutive in the Birmingham Bowl.

The Bulls enter the bowl game having lost a 49-42 thriller against the Central Florida Knights in the "War on I-4" rivalry.

Texas Tech (6-6, 3-6 Big 12) enters having won two of its past three games, including a 27-23 win over Texas to clinch bowl eligibility. The Red Raiders missed out on the postseason last year.

The game will broadcast on ESPN.
