Derek Jeter and his wife, Hannah Jeter, welcomed their first child, daughter Bella Raine, on Thursday.
The Players Tribune and New York Yankees tweeted congratulations to Jeter and his wife on Friday.

The Yankees legend and his wife, who got engaged in 2015 and married a year later, revealed in February that they were expecting a girl.
"We want our kids' lives to be as 'normal' as possible," Hannah wrote in The Players' Tribune. "They're going to be born into such an extraordinary situation. They're going to have to be some strong little people. We don't want them to be defined by their dad's name — for them, we want him to just be 'Dad.'"
It's been an eventful time for Jeter. Just last week, a Jeter-led group agreed to buy the Miami Marlins for $1.2 billion. The owners are expected to vote on it in October.
