GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Gators had their sights set on Central Florida’s Scott Frost for their coaching vacancy but the UCF coach is apparently not interested.
Sources tell 10News’ Ryan Bass that the Gators offered Frost the job Sunday morning but that Frost turned them down. He's now deciding whether to take the open Nebraska job or stay at UCF.
Source tells @juanctoribio and myself #UCF’s Scott Frost was offered and turned down the #Gators job this morning, which is why they pivoted to Dan Mullen.

Frost led the Knights to an undefeated season to this point. They still have a date with Memphis in the American Athletic Conference title game. The unbeaten season comes just two seasons after the Knights went winless.
Florida is now reportedly looking at Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen.
