ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Winter's grip on Florida -- of all places -- isn't letting go just yet.
A freeze warning lasts through the morning Thursday. This includes all of Tampa Bay, where the air temperature has dropped below 30 degrees.
Tampa fell to 29 degrees at 6 a.m., which tied a low record set in 1981.
Farther north into Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties, the temperature fell into the low to mid-20s.
Bottom line: it'll be cold everywhere, with wind chill values in the 20s.
