You better not cry because Christmas is only 100 days away. That means the countdown clock is on. We know, it's hard to think about when school just started about a month ago.
You might be excited for the season, but that also means there are Grinches out on the hunt to take your money-- scammers, criminals, etc. But we have a list that will help you avoid all that. Here are some tips to make sure you don't fall for their tricks.
Even though it's still 100 days away, you can also prepare by starting your holiday planning early-- saving you the stress in the long run.
1. Save up money-- Enough said. Christmas is a very expensive time of the year. If you start saving now, it could save you the financial headache in the long run. Also, if you get paid monthly, there's only four pay days left.
2. Plan your travel-- Are you hosting the family or going to the in-laws? Whether you fly or drive-- plan your schedule. And if you plan to go elsewhere, book your hotels in advance because they quickly book up during the season and studies show the cheapest time to buy your ticket is 54 days before you flight.
3. Start your shopping-- It is early, but you'll beat the holiday rush and you won't have to run to the mall on Christmas Eve because you forgot a gift for cousin Bill.
So, 100 days might seem like awhile, but that's only 14 weeks, and 99 sleeps until Santa comes down the chimney!
