St. Petersburg, Florida - St. Petersburg Police have made three more arrests in the shooting death of 8-year-old Paris Whitehead-Hamilton. She was killed early Sunday morning when 50 rounds were fired into a home at 771 Preston Avenue South.
Later this afternoon, investigators plan to release the names and charges of the three men arrested. A fourth suspected was arrested on Sunday. 18-year-old Stephen Harper is charged him with first degree murder.
According to investigators, the series of events leading up to Paris' death may have started with Markeath Fielder. Police have arrested the 19-year-old for aggravated assault.
Police say Fielder got into a fist fight several weeks ago with another man. Then on Saturday night, Fielder allegedly shot at that man. A few hours later, Fielder spent the night at the 8-year-old's home when the drive-by shooting took place. Police say he may have been the target.
Paris' family says they've known Fielder for about four years, but never knew about the fight a few weeks ago.
