Hillsborough County Judge Wayne Timmerman has granted Debra Lafave to have unsupervised contact with children of family and friends.
Timmerman cited that Lafave had completed court-ordered sex offender therapy.
Lafave was placed on three years of house arrest followed by seven years of probation after pleading guilty in November 2005 to having sex with a 14-year-old male student.
Lafave is still not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of where children congregate or work or volunteer with children.
We talked to several people around the area to find out what they thought about the judge allowing Lafave to once again have contact with minors.
"I don't think she should be around them, I wouldn't want her around my child being a sex offender." said, Morgan Williams.
"I think it was right, the judge issued is opinion and I think justice was served." said James Nevin.
