Near record temperatures will once again make for a steamy forecast in the Bay area.  Highs will reach the mid and upper 90s today.  The record din Tampa is 97 set back in 1996.  I am forecasting 95 for a high today, the same temperature we peaked out at yesterday.  Humidity levels are high as well and will result in heat index values from 104-109 degrees.  This heat can be dangerous so be sure to use precautions if you spend a lot of time outdoors.  Frequent breaks from the heat and drinking plenty of water are the two main things you can do to avoid heat related health issues.

Rain chances will only be in the 30% range inland to 20% along the coast.  The weather remains much the same through Thursday.  Friday and into the weekend we will see a slightly better chance for afternoon showers and slightly cooler temperatures will highs in the low 90s.  Winds will turn from the NW to the SE over the next 3 days.

Today: Partly cloudy, hot & steamy!  Isolated showers this afternoon with a 20% chance near the coast and 30% inland.  Winds will blow NW-NE 10 mph with a high of 95.  Heat index values will run between 103-109.

Tonight: Clearing skies and warm temperatures.  Winds will be light with a low of 80.

Thursday: ANother day of oppressive heat and humidity.  Winds will be NW-NE with a high of 94 and only a 20% chance for a shower.
