Seminole, Florida - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has charged 23-year-old Kevin Kyne with first degree murder in the death of his mother, 49-year-old Diane Kyne.
Deputies arrived at the family's home at 8918 134th Street North in Seminole just after 3:00 p.m. Sunday to respond to a 911 call. They found Diane Kyne's body in the bedroom. Preliminarily, detectives say there is evidence of upper body trauma.
Diane's husband, William Kyne, was in the home and their son, Kevin Kyne, had been in the home but left to walk to a neighbor's house, which is where detectives tracked him down.
Detectives charged Kevin Kyne with the death of his mother late Sunday and say he wasn't being cooperative during interviews. They say charges were brought based on other evidence and information.
Investigators say the three in the home had been arguing about the computer, and about the parents' recent decision to give Kevin a month to move out.
An autopsy on Diane Kyne will be conducted on Monday, August 16th.
Kevin has been in trouble with the law before. Back in 2007, Kyne was arrested for domestic violence, resisting arrest with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer and leaving the scene of an accident.
