TAMPA, Fla. - Officials with the organization CAIR, Council on American-Islamic Relations, spoke today in Tampa about the death of Osama bin Laden. They called it a "day of justice."

Officials with CAIR, along with two other advocacy groups, say they welcomed the announcement and hope it will bring peace to the thousands of families victimized by bin Laden and al Quada.

They also stressed that bin Laden has never represented Muslims or Islam and add that he's responsible for killing countless Muslims.

"This is a day of justice for those who suffered as a result of terrorism perpetrated by Osama bin Laden and al Quada, including those on 9/11 and innocent life around the world," said CAIR Executive Director Ramzy Kilic.

Ahmed Bedier, with United Voices for America, says bin Laden's capture took nine and a half years too long, although he does call it a relief. He does, however, caution about the celebrations seen around the U.S regarding bin Laden's death. He hopes the images are not misinterpreted.

The leaders know the war on terrorism is far from over, but want to remind everyone the war is not with Islam itself.
