St. Petersburg, Florida -- A German-based group is looking to build a huge solar electricity farm in Pinellas County, and one site proposed is the old Toytown landfill property.

The group of 10 German business people will be in town next week to meet with Progress Energy and Pinellas leaders.

The project would bring 160 solar manufacturing jobs to St. Petersburg.

Toytown is almost 250 acres and is situated next to Interstate 275, near Roosevelt Boulevard. It was used as a dump from 1961 to the mid 1980's.

Another site at which the group may be looking is in Midtown St. Petersburg.
