ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A burglary suspect used a local Walmart store as his personal workshop to disable the security devices on thousands of dollars worth of video games, then walked right out of the store.

It was all caught on camera.

The incident happened at the Walmart on County Road 220 on the afternoon of Aug. 31.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office report of the incident, the manager and an employee in the electronics department noticed a display containing many copies of Madden 2012 had been emptied at some point between noon and 1 p.m.

After checking the store's inventory, the manager determined the games hadn't been sold, so the loss prevention agent checked the surveillance video.

The video shows the suspect stopping his cart at the display, selecting several games, and walking off.

The police report details what is in more video that has not been released.  The suspect goes into the hardware section, takes a screwdriver and pries open the games to do away with the security features.

The loss prevention agent said the video shows the suspect repeating the procedure until the display was empty. Fifty-four copies of the game have been reported missing.

The video, according to the loss prevention agent, shows the man hiding the games somewhere on himself, then walking out of the store and getting into a white 4-door vehicle.

The value of the games, which are for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 systems, is $3,287.84.

Several, but not all, of the security boxes were found within the store.

If you recognize the suspect or know anything that can help find him, call our partner First Coast Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS (8477).  You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
