St. James City, Florida (News-Press) -- A woman is facing battery and assault charges after deputies say she attacked employees at a restaurant in St. James City Wednesday.

Alicia May Martin, 28, remains in custody at the Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to a physical dispute at the Waterfront Restaurant in St. James City and learned Martin and Kathryn Rayannic, 23, were asked to leave the restaurant, because they had drunk an excessive amount of beer and were disturbing other customers, according to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report.

Rayannic was charged with disturbing the peace.

An employee at the restaurant told investigators Martin then pushed her against a wall. The employee got another employee to help escort Martin out of the restaurant.

Another altercation began when they got outside, and Martin punched the employee in the back of the head and pointed a folding knife at another employee, according to the report.
