PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Brian Harman broke the course record at the PGA National Course with a 9-under 61 in the second round of the Honda Classic. The left-hander opened his round with a pair of birdies and an eagle. The 61 broke the course record by 3 shots. Harman needed an eagle on the par 5, 18th hole, but hit his approach into a bunker and settled for par.
Harman is 6-under for the two rounds, two shots back of 36-hole leaders Tom Gillis, who shot a 64 and Justin Rose who carded a 66.
Rory McIlroy is a shot back after a 67.
Tiger Woods shot a 2-under-68 in the second round and is 1-under par, seven shots back off the lead. Lee Westwood is also 1-under after two rounds of play.
