Mesa, AZ (CNN) - Could this woman on the website 'Jami's Hope' really lie about having breast cancer? Jami Toler's former colleagues say yes.
Jami was in court wearing a dark fitted shirt.
The 27-year-old is accused of fraud and theft. On the fundraising website it reads Jami has breast cancer and no insurance.
Police say she raised $8,000 for a double mastectomy, she didn't need.
Her medical records indicated that there was no breast cancer or anything like that, no issues what so ever.
Investigators say Jami used most of the cash in November for breast implants.
Jami's story unraveled when police say she passed on a doctor's free offer to operate on her breast cancer.
Jami got a surprise of her own when police showed up here to arrest her on the job.
Her former coworker's at hallmark hospice say they're focus has since changed. We're committed to compassion, this is what the industry expects of us in hospice so we would always to continue to focus and support those people who need our help.
