ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - A Rock Hill man was arrested Thursday after police say he jumped through the McDonald's drive-thru window in an attempt to get his food.

The incident was reported early Thursday morning at 3:05 a.m. at the McDonald's on Cherry Road, according to the report from the Rock Hill Police Department.

Police say Leonard Christopher Smalls, 24, of Rock Hill, was intoxicated when he drove through the drive thru and ordered.

When he pulled up to the window, he demanded his food immediately and refused to pay first, employees told police.

He became enraged and jumped out of his car and into the drive thru window, entering the restaurant.

Employees scattered in fear before one of them eventually escorted him, according to the report.

Smalls then started circling the building and took off down Riverview Road when he spotted police pulling in.

Officers followed Smalls and pulled him over at the AirGas on the 2600 block of Eden Terrace Road.

After a field sobriety test was administered, Smalls was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and disorderly, according to the report.
