Miami, Florida -- There's another bizarre story that appears to be connected to so-called synthetic marijuana or "bath salts."
Brandon De Leon, a 21-year-old homeless man, was in court Tuesday, facing charges of disorderly conduct after he threatened a police officer who arrested him.
The officer says De Leon was banging his head on the glass in the patrol car and yelling "I'm going to eat you!"
Police also report during booking, he was growling and popping his jaw like an animal. De Leon placed in leg restraints and a bite mask.
De Leon, who was reportedly in possession of rum and Four Loko when arrested, was discovered to be under the influence of a type of bath salts called "Cloud 9." His blood test also revealed levels of cannabis, alcohol, and Xanax.
At the bond hearing, De Leon told the judge, "I have no recollection of anything that happened that night."
His bond was set at $7,500 on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest with violence.

The Miami community is still shaken up by a more horrific incident, where Rudy Eugene -- possibly also under the effect of bath salts -- attacked and began eating the face of homeless man Ronald Poppo.
Eugene was ultimately shot and killed by police. Poppo suffered serious injuries and continues to recover in the hospital.
