Sebring, Florida -- The two men accused of beating and burning a Sebring man are will be in a Highlands county courtroom today.
It's an awful crime, and the two men accused of it will face a judge in Highlands County for the first time Friday morning.
Deputies say Kenneth Edward Felipe, Jr. and Jonathan Ray Rodriguez took off after they murdered Aaron Doty.
For a few days, they managed to lay low. But good luck hiding from the U.S. Marshals.
Marshals helped deputies track the men down and arrest them in Orlando. Now they'll have to deal with the consequences of the heinous crime detectives say they committed.
During a party last weekend, investigators say Felipe and Rodriguez picked a fight with Doty.
The unfair fight didn't last long. Detectives say Doty was knocked unconscious and then beaten on the ground.
Investigators say Felipe and Rodriguez then dragged him outside and left him to die.
As if that beating wasn't cruel enough, detectives say Felipe and Rodriguez took Doty's body from their duplex in a pickup truck and headed for the woods near Sebring's Sun 'N Lakes neighborhood.
Deputies say the men poured gasoline on Doty's body and set it on fire.
His burned body was found by search teams around 30 hours after his death.
10 News will be in the courtroom as these two men go before a judge at the Highlands County Courthouse in Sebring at 8:15 a.m. Friday.
The men are accused of second degree murder, which is killing someone with a dangerous act that shows a depraved mind.
They also face charges of abuse of a dead human body and tampering with physical evidence.
