Clearwater, Florida -- Complaints led police to crack down on prostitution activity in the East Gateway area Friday afternoon.

Clearwater Police say they received numerous complaints from residents and merchants in the area prompting the arrests.
In all, seven were arrested on prostitution charges:

- Amanda Blackburn, 26
- Michelle Snyder, 39
- Jane Soltiwsky, 41
- Heather Ball, 32
- Patricia Peters, 51
- Lori Cagle, 49
