Land O' Lakes, Florida -- On the evening of July 2, a 17-year-old boy was taken to the emergency room after being allegedly beaten by four unknown suspects.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Department says the incident happened on State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes around 8:40 p.m.
Now, local radio host Bubba The Love Sponge is offering a reward to anyone who can offer information leading to an arrest.
"I'm looking for help from the Bubba Army. I'm offering $500 for the person with information leading to the arrest and prosecution of these cowards," said Bubba "The Love Sponge" Clem.
"Anyone with information should contact my show at show@btls.com or the Pasco County Sheriff's Office Crime Tips Line 1-800-873-TIPS."
An email sent to Bubba from the victim's father describes the suspects' vehicle as a 2003-2006 graphite colored Chevrolet truck. The father says the attackers allegedly came at the teen with a baseball bat and the victim was beaten in the face, back and legs.
Kevin Doll with Pasco Sheriff's says, "We are investigating, but at this time we are still trying to determine who the initial aggressor was in the incident. We are looking to contact the other individuals in the incident. According to the 17-year-old's girlfriend, there was no baseball bat used in the fight."
