Today Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. East southeast wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Showers will be on the increase this weekend especially into Sunday with the approach of a tropical wave over southern Florida.  Showers and storms will be less common over Spring Hill up into Cedar Key. Sarasota and Arcadia will have a better shot of rain Saturday afternoon 50%.  A few pop up storms will develop around Tampa during the afternoon and fad out a couple hours after sunset.  Rain will continue to increase into Monday before drier air moves in next week suppressing rain chances to around 30%.

 

Saturday Night Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 80. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. East southeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph.
