SEFFNER, Florida -- A man is in the hospital after being shot by four deputies.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, 54-year-old Craig Vilsack was sitting in the Paradise Village Mobile Home Park on his front porch drinking alcohol and holding a gun to his head. A neighbor saw the man on the porch and notified police.
When deputies responded to the scene, they say they approached Vilsack and began to negotiate. After about 30 minutes, they say the man got up and began waving the gun around. He then walked around the front of the mobile home, where a deputy commanded him to drop his gun. Vilsack allegedly pointed the gun in the deputy's direction, at which time the four deputies fired.
None of the deputies were injured.
