Tampa, Florida -- Gas prices in Florida have climbed 35 cents per gallon in one month's time, and prices in Tampa Bay have followed that trend.

According to AAA, here in Florida, we're paying an average of $3.63 for a gallon of regular unleaded. That's up 35 cents from this time last month.

In the Tampa-St. Petersburg area, the average stands at $3.59. Again, it's a 35-cent jump from last month's price of $3.24.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg attributes a recent nationwide price increase to the high cost of crude as well as the partial loss of production at a refinery in Northern California.

Tucson, Ariz., has the nation's lowest price at $3.18, while Chicago had the highest at $4.23.
