Lake Wales, Florida - Some middle school students are sharing the scary ordeal of seeing an out-of-control driver hit several students at their school. The accident happened Thursday at McLaughlin Middle School along the 800 block of South 4th Street.
Eleven-year-old Brianna Fisher said she was sitting on a bench, right near where the car came through.

"My legs were shaking and everything whenever I got up. Because I was like, so scared," said Brianna.
According to Lake Wales Police, 50-year-old Dilma Guideldefiguera had just picked up her children, when for some reason she lost control when she accelerated, jumped the curb, and clipped a bench. The impact threw two students off. Police said Guideldefiguera then hit two other students before she slammed into a brick wall.
Sixth grader Ashon Young said he got out of the car's path just in time and even helped pull another student off the bench before the car crashed through.
"There was a lot of commotion. Everybody was screaming and stuff," said Ashon.
Despite all of this, Lake Wales Police said no one was seriously hurt. The students ended up with cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
"There are hundreds of students walking around out here at that time. It's four minutes after school let out. And it's absolutely amazing," said Lake Wales Deputy Chief, Troy Schulze.
Guideldefiguera was issued a ticket for careless driving. We're told one of her children also suffered minor injuries.
