New Orleans, LA - Here's a look at the strong winds and waves on Lake Pontchartrain near New Orleans just hours before landfall. 

As much as 20 inches of rain is predicted for the region. 
One of the main arterial roads in the area, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, was closed off earlier in the day.  
More than 100-thousand Entergy Louisiana customers were without power when the storm made landfall Tuesday night.
