TAZEWELL, Va. (WJHL) -- Deputies with the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office captured a sex offender wanted out of Maryland after his girlfriend provided clues to his location by "liking" the authorities on Facebook.
29-year-old Dyllan Otto Naecher was captured at his girlfriend's residence.
Deputies say they were able to determine the girlfriend's identity after she "liked" the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
Naecher was taken into custody without incident and may face charges in Virginia for failure to register as a sex offender. He may also face federal charges for crossing state lines under the Adam Walsh Act. Members of the U.S. Marshals office are interviewing the suspect with detectives from the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office.
The girlfriend, 22-year-old Samantha Dillow was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
