Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed wide receiver Roscoe Parrish on Tuesday and waived wide receiver Jordan Shipley.

Parrish played all seven of his seasons in the NFL with Buffalo, but the past two seasons were cut short by injuries.

He missed the second half of the 2010 season with a fractured wrist and played in just two games in 2011 before suffering a left ankle injury.

During his time on the field, he has played in 77 games and has returned 135 punts for 1,622 yards and three touchdowns. Also, he has totaled 134 catches for 1,502 yards and seven touchdowns along with 29 kickoff returns for 685 yards.

His 12.0 average on punt returns is second to Chicago's Devin Hester for tops in the NFL since 2005.

He was released by both San Diego and Oakland in the preseason.

Shipley was claimed off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals in Aug. and appeared in one game with the Bucs.

The 26-year-old Texas product, who caught 52 passes for 600 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie with the Bengals in 2010, tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last season during Week 2.
