SARASOTA, Florida -- Sarasota police are investigating a traffic accident that killed a motorcyclist early Saturday.
The crash happened in the 900 block of the John Ringling Causeway at around 1:32 a.m.
According to police, a black Nissan Sentra was hit from behind by a Suzuki motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Ronald Ochoa. Witnesses told police that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic before the accident.
Ochoa died at the scene. The four occupants of the Nissan were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
