HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office are asking for your help to find a missing Bay Area woman. According to authorities, 38-year-old Dana Boshell was last seen by her family July 4th. No one has heard from her since.
Her mother, Gloria Barich, reported her daughter missing on Monday. She said she had been getting more and more concerned because she had not heard from her daughter. Barich said they used to talk almost every day. She left a Facebook message for Boshell and also called her multiple times, but got no answer. Barich said she is very worried.
"Nobody has heard anything. Nobody. And that's just not like Dana. It's not like her," said Barich.
According to officials with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Boshell was last seen with her boyfriend leaving her brother's house in Orlando on July 4th.
"We've talked to her boyfriend. Her boyfriend has indicated that he dropped her off at her apartment. We've checked that apartment and there was signs of any unusual activity there. All her personal belongings or clothing were still there," said Det. Larry McKinnon with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives said they're especially concerned because Boshell's banking activity stopped the day she disappeared. It had been very active prior to.
Barich is just hoping someone knows something that can help.
"I just want to find my daughter. She's a good human being. She has a lot to offer the world," said Barich.
Barich said her daughter has battled drug and alcohol addiction throughout the years. However, it's unclear whether that played any role in her disappearance.
