Obama takes late lead in Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - President Barack Obama is clinging to a slim lead in the swing state of Florida with 95 percent of the vote counted.

Obama and Republican Mitt Romney have each fought hard in Florida.

With nearly 8 million votes tallied, the candidates were separated by about 50,000 votes. They had been trading leads throughout the night.

The state has 29 electoral votes up for grabs - the most of any swing state.

There are about 12 million registered voters in Florida.
