Florida remains the only state not yet called by CBS News. Here's why it may stay that way for much of the day Wednesday.
President Obama made it past the magic number of 270 electoral college votes without winning Florida -- and Mitt Romney hasn't won Florida either.
That means one of the biggest swing states in the country was not a deciding factor in the election.

As of 5 a.m. Wednesday, the Florida vote for president was holding at 50 percent for President Obama and 49 percent for Mitt Romney.
Florida remains too close to call, and may stay that way until at least Wednesday afternoon.
That's because Miami-Dade, Pinellas and seven other counties are still sorting through a heap of absentee ballots ballots.
Wednesday on The Morning Show, we showed you video of incredible lines of people still waiting to vote in that county well after sundown Tuesday.
The Miami Herald reports at least 80 precincts were still processing voters at 11 p.m. on Election Day.
That means those people had been waiting in line for at least four hours after the polls closed to do their civic duty. By law, if you're in line when the polls close, you will get to vote.
The last voter left one polling place just after 1 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Results from those ballots appeared to be added to the tally on the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections' website just after 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Still, since they were handling those voters at the polls, Miami-Dade officials say they still have about 18,000 thick, multi-page absentee ballots left to count.
Pinellas County workers also went home Tuesday night before counting more than 9,000 absentee ballots the office received.
So, where does Florida stand right now?
President Obama leads Gov. Romney by about 46,000 votes out of more than eight million cast, as of 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Hillsborough County went for Obama by seven percent, and Pinellas County chose Obama by five percent.
Pasco and Polk counties each went for Romney with a seven percent margin over Obama.
County-by-county results show the areas that favored the president include:
- Hillsborough and Pinellas counties
- Another part of the I-4 corridor: Orange and Osceola counties around Orlando
- The capital and university communities around Tallahassee and Gainesville
- Five counties in South Florida
So what happens when Florida hits 100 percent, potentially Wednesday afternoon?
It looks like the Sunshine State will go to President Obama.
More than half of the votes left to be counted in the state come from Miami-Dade County. The president leads there as of 5 a.m. with a 62 percent to 37 percent margin.
So while there's no guarantee, it's logical to think that as more votes are counted from that county, they'll follow that same pattern and the overall Obama lead will increase in Florida.
