Tampa, Florida - Shoppers in the Bay Area are gearing up for the Holiday shopping season, and this year the deals start earlier than last year.
Walmart stores announced they are opening at 8 Thanksgiving night, instead of 10 p.m., like last year. They said it's because customers wanted an earlier start.

And they're not the only ones.
Once it opens at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night, it will remain open until 3 a.m. Friday, and then re-open again from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Sears will open 8:00 Thanksgiving night and stay open until 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
Macy's and Kohl's are set to open Black Friday at midnight.
Experts said it's all about pulling in shoppers, who have responded well to early deals.
"Retailers are going to offer you a great discount on a really popular item, counting that it's really going to get you into the store, and they're hoping that you're going to buy some other things when you're there," said John Fleming, with the Florida Retail Federation.
He adds that there are deals to be had, especially if you do your research and are disciplined. Keep in mind though, some items may be limited.
"There's fewer products on a shelf because they don't want to be left over with unsold products at the end of the Holiday Season. So what that means for shoppers is that when it's gone, it's gone," said Fleming.
Fleming said shoppers can also get really good deals a few weeks before Christmas, especially the day before.
