Bartow, Florida -- On Nov. 19, Polk County Sheriff's detectives added more charges to the Massachusetts junior hockey coach accused of soliciting two Polk County "teens" online.
Anthony DeSilva, 41, is currently in jail on $50,000 bond on charges he used a computer to seduce a child. He will now face over 60 additional charges which include two counts of traveling to meet a minor for sex, two counts of encouraging a child to engage in sexual performance, and 57 counts of use of a two-way device to facilitate a felony.
Polk County detectives say DeSilva contacted a 16-year-old boy on Facebook back in July and asked him for X-rated pictures of the teen. When the boy told his mother, she contacted police and undercover detectives took over the boy's account along with another of his friend's.
During the exchanges with who he thought were the teens, DeSilva also attempted to make arrangements for the boys to come stay with him in Massachusetts so they could engage in sexual activity.
DeSilva appeared in court Saturday morning, where a judge set his bail at $50,000 on 10 counts of Use of Computer to Seduce a Child and one count Transmission of Material Harmful to a Child.
