CARROLLWOOD, Florida -- Some Good Samaritans found a duck with an arrow lodged in its body Monday.
They brought the duck to veterinarian Jarrod Lazarus' clinic in Carrollwood. Emergency surgery was required to remove the arrow, which was lodged in the animal's chest, missing the neck and lungs.
Lazarus says the duck will survive, but he was very lucky. "After he recovers from surgery, we'll send him off to rehab, and hopefully have him returned to the wild," he said.
