Denny is an 11 month old Catahoula Leopard Hound Dog mix, which makes him a true Southern Gentleman.  He weighs about 50 lbs.

He listens well and has a heart of gold.  Denny really wants to please people and get lots of positive attention.  He's house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. He's also fun, sweet, affectionate, playful and energetic.

He likes kids (probably because he thinks he is one), but he doesn't realize how big he is sometimes, so we're going to suggest that he shouldn't go to a home with tiny toddlers. They're the perfect height for a constant stream of sloppy wet kisses that might not always be welcome.  He means well, but he's just bursting with love.

Catahoulas are highly intelligent, protective and energetic and need exercise, socialization and training.

Denny gets along well with some dogs, but not all, so he'll need to meet any fuzzy family members before you adopt him. He would do best with one who doesn't try to be dominant and it would be a good idea to feed them separately until they get to know each other well.
