(USATODAY.com) - Two weeks ago, Robert Griffin III fielded questions from reporters following the Washington Redskins' 31-28 overtime win against the Baltimore Ravens, even though he didn't finish because of a sprained knee.

Surely what Griffin wore to the podium couldn't have been the first thing on his mind, and yet that's how he got himself into trouble with the NFL.

We found out Wednesday that the league slapped Griffin with a $10,000 fine for wearing an Adidas sweat suit, a big no-no since the league's official uniform and apparel supplier is Nike. CSNWashington.com was first to report the news.

This isn't the first time Griffin, who has an endorsement deal with Adidas, has taken heat from the NFL over something uniform related. Earlier this year during pregame warm-ups, Griffin was caught covering up the Nike swoosh on his under shirt in New Orleans. He also wore a grey shirt inside out to obscure the Nike logo in St. Louis.

Griffin's fine is pretty ridiculous considering he was injured and probably couldn't care less how he looked addressing the media, but that's the NFL for you.
