St. Petersburg, Florida -- One woman was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-275 just north of Pinellas Point Drive South that sent two others to the hospital.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Sandra Weems was heading north in the southbound lanes I-275 at the time of the crash. Troopers say David Davis tried to swerve out of the way of Weems' Pontiac sedan, but hit the car head on.

St. Pete Fire & Rescue reported when firefighters got to the scene Davis and his passenger, Dragan Radak, were trapped in their Ford van. After they were removed from the van they were taken to Bayfront Medical Center. Davis, 44, suffered minor injuries and Radak, 40, received serious injuries in the crash.
Weems, 58, of St. Petersburg, died at the scene.
