Brandon, FL - A Brandon man is behind bars today for reportedly setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's mother's home while there were people inside.
Officials say they arrested Cort Allanbrand around 3:30 Wednesday morning at his home off the 2200 block of Bodrick Circle, about 20 minutes from the victims' residence.
According to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Investigator, Allanbrand used an accelerant to start the fire in the back of the home off Black Dairy Road in Seffner.
No one was injured in the fire, reports saying a neighbor was able to put it out with a fire extinguisher.
Fire Investigators worked alongside the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, and the state Fire Marshall to make a prompt arrest after a thorough investigation.
Allanbrand is in jail at this time.
